I have worked in healthcare in the Eugene Springfield area for more than 26 years. During that time I have had the privilege to work directly with Dr. Keiper and Dr. Sherman, as well as their talented Physician Assistants Ralph Peterson and Jason Kocian. My primary roles have been in and around the operating suites at both local Hospitals. Over the last 10 years my roles have expanded to include a host of administrative duties connected to patient care, but I have always made it a priority to be involved primarily with the safe, effective delivery of perioperative care.
The local community has grown significantly in that time, Physician-owned Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC) are an increasingly important aspect of our community healthcare delivery system. Treating conditions that used to require extended hospital stays are now routinely completed same day, so the patients can return home and back to their regular routine with minimal disruption and at much lower cost.
I have been a patient at KeiperSpine and was impressed at how efficient and friendly everyone was, and I returned to work the following day. This positive experience and my long relationship with the surgeons and staff here prompted me to seek this position.
I am a native Oregonian, leaving for a few years military service then returning to complete a Nursing degree at Lane Community College, then a BSN at Oregon Health & Science University. I transferred to the Oregon Army National Guard and completed 30 years of service while working at both local hospitals and attaining a Masters Degree in Business Administration with a healthcare emphasis.
